Bundesforstebad Weyregg

The Bundesforstebad in Weyregg am Attersee, a natural swimming area run by the Austrian Federal Forests, is a popular spot for sports enthusiasts and also the base for UP-Watersports’ water sports center. The swimming area covers around 7,200 m² and, even on the sunniest days, offers shady shelter thanks to large trees.
This area got another upgrade in June 2024 with the opening of a water playground for young and young-at-heart visitors!

Attersee swimming area – The 15,000 m² “Landesbad” in Weyregg am Attersee features a large, well-kept sunbathing lawn with plenty of trees that provide shade. Entry to the swimming area is free. With its very shallow access to the lake, it’s especially suitable for families with small children as well as people with physical impairments. A beautiful spot in Weyregg.

Strandbad Weyregg

At the Strandbad in Weyregg am Attersee, there’s a large sunny sunbathing lawn of around 6,500 m², as well as plenty of lounging spots on a spacious pier complex. It also has an attractive, pre-warmed children’s pool, where the green dragon “Weyreggulix” – a water-spouting dragon – is huge fun for little visitors. A children’s playground, kids’ water slide, changing room and bottle warmer round out the family-friendly offer. Young and old can also have fun at the table tennis table!

Weyregg now also offers the perfect spot for four-legged friends: at the new dog swimming area, dogs can splash, play and sniff to their heart’s content. Located right on the lake, the freely accessible area invites you to enjoy an outing together with your dog – ideal for hot summer days. The dog swimming area is located right next to the sailing harbor in Alexenau. Consideration and cleanliness make it a true feel-good place – for people, animals and nature.
